The characteristics of the ionized trains of meteoric bodies of various density were studied on the basis of radar observations carried out at four points spaced 6 to 8 km apart. The theoretical lengths of ionized trains of meteoric particles with masses ranging between one thousandth and one hundredth of a gram were more than twice the measured lengths. The length of the descending branch of the ionization curve was 0.3 to 0.6 H, where H is the homogeneous height of the atmosphere.
