The use of the imaging Compton telescope, COMPTEL, as a Compton gamma-ray polarimeter is investigated. The study is based on a series of M-C simulations with a detailed geometrical model for both polarized and non-polarized photons. Its polarimetric performance as a function of incident photon energy, direction and polarization angle has been obtained. Its response to a Crab pulsar like source is also presented. Analysis procedures of data from COMPTEL are discussed.
