A simple model is used to show both analytically and numerically that the motion of Comet Halley is chaotic. Estimates are obtained for the errors and the limit to the numerical extrapolation of the chaotic trajectory. Consideration is given to the dynamic restrictions on the comet's total length of stay in the solar system, which strongly depends on weak nongravitational forces.
