Using the meteorological monthly data from more than 4000 meteorological stations all over the world from 1949 to 1982, the authors estimate the solid geocentre motion due to the seasonal distribution of air pressure and ground water. The conclusion is that the solid geocentre motion due to ground water may have a larger contribution than that of air pressure, and the relative maximum value of the motion of the solid geocentre is about 4 mm.
