The dynamics of the circumsolar medium is investigated in the complex supersonic transition region on the basis of scintillation observations. In particular, attention is given to the problem of separating two effects, i.e., heliolatitudinal anisotropy and radial changes of the medium parameters, which arises at the decline phase of the 11-yr solar cycle. It is found that the heliolatitudinal changes of the scintillation index in the transition region are substantially less than scintillation enhancement in this region.
