Cygnus X-1 has been observed in different spectral states and at different orbit phases with the Chandra High Energy Transmission Grating Spectrometer. The observed absorption line and edge features are different in these observations. These differences may be caused by the variations of the column density at different orbit phases in a photoionized-wind accretion system. The variations of the absorption features observed in different states may also provide information about changes in the configuration of the corona and accretion disk around the black hole. We present results of our data analysis and discuss the physical implications of these results.
