The Chandra ACIS Survey of M33 (ChASeM33) is the deepest X-ray survey with arcsecond resolution of the nearest face-on spiral galaxy with a limiting sensitivity of 2e34 erg/s (0.35-8.0 keV). The 1.4Ms survey covers the galaxy out to a radius of approximately 18 arcmin ( 4kpc) or approximately 70% of the D25 isophote. The survey has produced several surprising new results such as the detection of the first eclipsing black hole X-ray binary (M33 X-7) and a giant HII region (IC 131) whose X-ray emission is predominately nonthermal. The survey has more than doubled the number (74) of X-ray detected supernova remnants (SNRs) in M33, providing the largest homogeneous sample of SNRs detected in the X-ray, optical, & radio. The final source catalog contains 668 sources, including point-like and possibly extended sources. 56 of these sources have more than 500 net counts allowing detailed spectral fits to be performed. A spectroscopic follow-up study of the X-ray sources with optical counterparts is currently being carried out at the MMT Observatory, with spectra of 77 of the brightest counterparts acquired. The luminosity function (LF) is significantly contaminated by background and foreground sources, with approximately half of the sources in the catalog not associated with M33. After an initial estimate of the contribution of non-M33 sources to the LF, we derive a slope of 0.55 for the M33 LF which indicates a dominant component of high-mass X-ray binaries. Finally, we present hardness-ratio maps of the diffuse emission and a composite spectrum of the diffuse emission in M33.
