The usual common approach for classification of eclipses is via apparent distribution of objects. By using computer based environment we have realized a new approach. The idea behind this new approach is to form celestial triplets based on the spatial and electromagnetic characteristics. If we include observer position, this approach results in very simple classification: all types of eclipses can be divided into two general groups - apparent and true eclipses. Some characteristic examples are included.
