A high angular resolution imaging interferometer prototype is described. It consists of a four phased telescope interferometer working at visible wavelengths. The goal is to demonstrate the feasibility of phase closure and image reconstruction. The apertures of the telescopes are limited to 26 cm, and move on 2 perpendicular baselines in a cross N/S and E/W configuration. The optical path compensation is done by delay lines, and the four beams are recombined on a fixed central table. The six fringe patterns are recorded by a short exposure, photon-counting camera in order to freeze the atmospheric turbulence.
