The author uses photographic B and V observations published by Martin et al. (1981) and Wayman et al. (1984) for 244 Cepheids in the Large Magellanic Cloud to search for double mode pulsators. Constructing power spectra by means of simultaneous least squares fits with two periods, he selects about 10 candidates for double mode pulsation. Two of these stars: DV 14 and HV 2345 with fundamental periods Π0 = 3.298 and 4.743 days consistently show the pulsation behaviour expected for double mode pulsators in three checks. They have period ratios ≅0.70, and, therefore, seem to be the first found members of the group of double mode Cepheids expected in the Magellanic Clouds.
