The evolution of the metric to a singularity in a stochastic oscillatory regime is considered in the general cosmological solution of Belinksii and Khalatnikov (1972). It is shown that regions with a small-scale cellular structure of 3-geometry form in the vicinity of this singularity. The statistics of indices and the time dependence of lengths in these regions are examined.
