During March 2000 both CELESTE & CAT obtained good data samples for Mrk 421. Combining CELESTE's flux determination with CAT's spectral measurement allows us to constrain the position of the Inverse Compton peak of the spectral energy distribution for this epoch, using a spectral form compatible with archival EGRET measurements. We will present work-in-progress aimed at deriving a spectrum from CELESTE data. Using available X-ray data we explore the constraints we can apply to an SSC model of Mrk 421. We may have results of observations of other blazars for 2002, and we may be able to demonstrate improved sensitivity using 12 new heliostats in a "veto" pointing strategy.
