Current results from two CCD sounding rocket observations of the soft X-ray background are presented. These observations were conducted on May 22, 1995 from White Sands Missile Range and October 25, 1995 from Woomera, Australia. Targets observed are centered on (l=90, b=+45) and (l=0,b=-17). The detectors were EEV CCDs designed to enchance X-ray transmission below 1.0 keV through the adoption of a thinned gate structure. These detectors are very similar to the detectors used in our CUBIC satellite instrument, which is discussed elsewhere at this meeting. The rocket flights provided a test of the detector hardware and analysis software used on CUBIC and also provided our first science results on the DXRB spectrum with CCD resolution. We present payload trajectory and aspect solutions, contamination estimation for charged particles and scattered solar X-rays, detector calibration, and spectral fitting of the rocket data using Raymond and Smith thermal plasma models.
