B, V, and I photometry is presented for the eclipsing binary HV 12484 located in the Large Magellanic Cloud. The system is detached and seen close to edge-on. Any orbital eccentricity is slight. A new ephemeris is derived. Analysis with Etzel's EBOP code shows that the component stars can differ by no more than about 10 percent in radius. The system could plausibly comprise stars broadly similar to B2 IV galactic stars separated by about three times their radius.
