The variable star CQ Lyncis is cataloged as a δ Scuti star. Recently CQ Lyn was extensively examined in a paper by Carrier et al. (2002). They describe the star as a spectroscopic binary system with one component being a δ Scuti variable. We have obtained a set of CCD observations of CQ Lyn using the 16" telescope of the Orson Pratt Observatory on the BYU campus. This original data set was obtained as part of an introductory observational astronomy class. In addition, we have secured a few spectroscopic observations at the Dominion Astrophysical Observatory's 1.2-meter facility. Our data set will be presented and compared to the data presented in Carrier et al. (2002).
