A color, magnitude of Cluster 1 in Fornax is presented. From the morphology of the CMD, it is concluded that the cluster is metal-poor. Its distance, estimated from the apparent magnitude of its horizontal branch, is 20.76 or 132 kpc for E(B - V) = 0.05, comparable to previously estimated distances of Fornax. Cluster 1 belongs to the class of metal-poor systems having a red horizontal branch. If interpreted in terms of an age effect, Cluster 1 is an intermediate-age cluster, possibly formed when the numerous intermediate-age population of Fornax was formed.
