Analysis of CCD U-band photometry of the M15 globular cluster core obtained in 1985 and 1986 at CFH, Pic-du-Midi, and ESO reveals that the light from AC211, the suggested (Aurière et al. 1984) optical counterpart of X2127+119, is modulated (by up to 1.6 magnitudes in U) with a probable period of 8.537±0.002 hours, which is identified as the orbital period and AC211/X2127+119 as a low-mass X-ray binary. The spectroscopic period of 9.1±0.4 hours reported by Naylor et al. (1986) and the 8.66±0.08 hour X-ray period of Hertz (1987) agree with the authors' results. They interpret the data in terms of X-ray reprocessing in an accretion disk with a raised outer edge whose structure shows a large degree of variability.
