The manifestation of a gravothermal catastrophe for a stellar system containing a massive central body is examined from the point of view of catastrophe theory. It is shown that the catastrophe of A2 type that holds for a system without a massive center persists in this case too and does not become a cusp. The catastrophe occurs at higher temperatures of the system and lower values of the density contrast.
