We describe work-in-progress to analyse the available HETG spectra on sixteen spectra from ten cataclysmic variables. We approach the analysis from dual directions, using globally-fit, multi-temperature components and via a line-by-line delineation of emission line properties. As an ultimate science goal, we intend to compare the results of the two approaches for consistency.
