We present preliminary results from an ongoing program to survey the millimeter line and continuum emission with the Combined Array for Research in Millimeter Wave Astronomy (CARMA) of selected galaxies in the COSMOS field. Whereas the optical and infrared data trace the young and old stellar populations, the millimeter data provides a critical complementary data set for understanding the mass assembly of galaxies. The millimeter data is used to estimate the molecular gas, dust, and most importantly, dynamical mass of these systems. CARMA became operational in January 2007 -- we present a status report on our survey with an initial set of observations at 1 and 3mm.
