A description is given of a set of equilibrium models. For several of the models a detonation wave initiated in the center of the model is considered, taking into account two different methods of detonation initiation. In both of the methods it is assumed that the star is essentially in hydrostatic equilibrium immediately prior to the detonation. The subsequent dynamic behavior of the model is investigated.
