We investigate the chemistry of formation and destruction processes of
molecules in the expanding and cooling ejecta of Type II Supernovae. In
this work, we use a kinetic chemistry network to explore the parameters
and conditions of the ejecta which are required for the condensation of
graphite and silicon carbide grains.
