Some considerations concerning the gravitational canonical theory are generalized to a five-dimensional Kaluza-Klein theory. The quantization procedure is illustrated with a minisuperspace cosmological model. The results of the model indicate that a universe resembling this universe and with an extra dimension has an oscillatory exponentially damped amplitude when the radius is vanishing.
