An analysis of the motion of particles in a magnetic field within the galactic center and extending to the spiral arms is performed as a test of the center being possibly the source of observed 10,000-100,000 TeV cosmic rays. Particles with rigidities exceeding 10,000 TV are shown to be little influenced by the galactic magnetic field. Trajectories are therefore calculated for such particles, with the magnetic field being concentrated along the spiral arms. The particles are traced until escaping from the halo. It is found that anisotropy will be breached in the solar neighborhood, which disagrees with observed particle counts. It is suggested that consideration be given to supernovae and extragalactic origins for the high energy cosmic rays.
