With the use of the Royal Greenwich Observatory data set of sunspot
groups, an attempt is made to examine the north-south asymmetry of solar
activity in the ``extended'' solar cycles. It is inferred that the
asymmetry established for individual solar cycles does not extend to the
"extended" cycles.
