Classification algorithms based on neural network techniques and classical statistical methods are applied in order to study the circumstances in which the bulge stars can be differentiated from other stars belonging to other Galactic components. The Galactic system is simulated as a mixture of four components, thin disc, thick disc, halo and bulge, according to certain stellar system models. Each component is defined from specific distribution laws of mass, velocity, metallicity and age.
