This paper discusses the operational principle and the technical characteristics of the Podsulnuch instrument. The instrument's main functions are the amplitude and intensity analysis of input signals detected from X-ray sources. The instrument processes the input signals for analog-to-digital conversion and estimates their parameters. It also analyzes the input pulse intensity in correlation with the diffuse X-ray background, providing highly reliable identification of X-ray bursts.
