The Swift Explorer Mission, scheduled for launch in 2003, is designed for multi-wavelength studies of gamma-ray bursts (GRBs) and other transient phenomena. The observatory consists of three co-aligned telescopes that operate at 10-150keV, 0.2-10keV, and 170-650nm. Prior to integration onto the spacecraft, each telescope undergoes a series of tests that allow engineers and scientists to evaluate its survivability and performance. Calibration of the Swift UV/Optical Telescope (UVOT) is being performed at Goddard Space Flight Center in the Diffraction Grating Evaluation Facility (DGEF). The optical data obtained during calibration ensures that the instrument meets mission requirements and provides a baseline for changes in on-orbit performance. The UVOT calibration plan includes procedures which measure the point spread function at UV and optical wavelengths, responsivity of broadband filters and grisms, sensitivity and dynamic range of the detector, field distortion, and flat-field response. Here we present the calibration results as well as details of the test setup in the DGEF. Funding for this project is provided by NASA grant NAS5-00136.
