A method to calibrate the Lick indices directly measured from the Sloan
Digital Sky Survey spectra into the Lick/IDS standard system is
presented. The soundness of the derived calibration coefficients is
checked by comparing indices from the Worthey Catalogue with those
obtained from SDSS spectra.
