The purpose of this proposal is to obtain reference point source Transfer Functions {S-Curves} through the F583W filter at the center position of the FGS1r FOV for a variety of spectral colors. The objects observed in this proposal will be added to the library of point source interferograms that was assembled from the Cycle 8 calibration program. These Transfer Functions are needed to support the analysis of GO science data for the study of close binary star systems and for determining the angular diameter of extended sources. This proposal also calibrates the FGS1r Lateral Color response. This is the apparent angular displacement of an object as a function of its spectral color, an effect due to the refractive elements within the FGS1r "five element corrector group". Three calibration objects are observed in this proposal; LATCOL-A {B-V = 1.9}, LATCOL-B {B-V=0.18}, and BP-TAU {B-V = 1.1}. The LATCOL stars are separated by only 27"; they will be observed in 3 visits at three different HST ORIENTS. These data will be used to provide the point source S-curve template for these spectral colors, but also to determine the lateral color shift in FGS1r. BP-TAU is a calibrator for DF-TAU-like stars and other young, pre-MS low mass stellar objects. The observations of BP-TAU will be compared to those of the same object obtained in earlier in cycle 8. This will provide an assessment of the FGS1r S-curve stability at this spectral color.
