We study a three-dimensional (3D) numerical model of the Parker instability in a galactic disk and compute the components of the kinetic and magnetic parts of the dynamo hat α tensor. We find that magnitude of the sum of both parts coincides well with the efficiency of generation of poloidal magnetic field during the growth phase of the Parker instability in differentially rotating disks.
