Having analyzed the acceleration signatures of energetic ions (E>50 KeV) and electrons (E>30 KeV) observed at 01:21:54, D256, 1992 UT [Marhavilas P.K., E.T. Sarris, 1997] and at 04:08:16, D147,1991 UT [Marhavilas P.K., E.T. Sarris, and G.C. Anagnostopoulos, 2001] in the vicinity of the surface of two fast-mode quasi-perpendicular hydromagnetic shocks with the result the observations presented strong evidence for the acceleration of energetic particles trapped within magnetic structures on the rippled surface of the fast-mode shocks, we proceed to a calculation of the width L and amplitude A of the structure, using measurements of the HI-SCALE instrument (onboard the ULYSSES spacecraft) and a geometry of a sinusoidal form.
