An adiabatic method is developed for the analysis of long-range short-wave paths on the basis of a parabolic model of thy ionosphere. This approach makes it possible to perform a complete analysis of the path, including the determination of maximum usable frequency, modes, the signal delay time, the wave-field amplitude at the point of reception, as well as the construction of ionograms of long-range oblique sounding.
