The gamma-quanta recording efficiency of a gamma-telescope that was used onboard Cosmos 561 is calculated as a function of such parameters as primitive-photon energy, the x,y coordinates of the point of gamma-quantum input to the instrument, the zenithal and azimuthal photon angles of incidence, and the Cerenkov detector threshold. Pair creation and the Compton effect were taken into account in the calculations for gamma-quanta, while bremsstrahlung, ionization losses, and multiple Coulomb scattering was taken into account for the electrons and positrons produced by a primitive photon.
