Ab initio calculations on the species HNSi and HSiN, including configuration interaction, have shown that HNSi is the more stable isomer by approximately 300 kJ/mol. The microwave spectra of both species including quadrupole structure have been predicted and are shown to be inconsistent with interstellar emission lines which have been tentatively attributed to HSiN.
