TKS-Vega measurements of the C3 405 nm and CN 388 nm bands are used to
identify C3 and CN parents. The mean coma absorption cross section of
species formation is discussed as well as C3 parents and the possible
sequences of propynal amd allene in coets. CN, C3, and C2 production at
various heliocentric distances is addressed as well.
