A fully sampled 1 x 3 arcsec map, centered on BN-KL, has been made in the J = 1-0 (C-12)(O-18) line with a 21 arcsec angular resolution. The emission is centered in a less-than-40 arcsec strip running S to NE, and several maxima are superimposed on the ridge. Variations in the kinetic temperature and column density of about 50 percent can reconcile the dust and (C-12)(O-18) results with a constant CO/H2 ratio. About 1 percent of the carbon is found to be in the form of CO. The wider (C-12)(O-18) lines near the BN-KL region appear to be superimposed on a weak 18 km/s wide pedestal. (C-12)(O-18) line widths of less than 2 km/s in regions 40 arcsec NE and 30 arcsec S of BN-KL are thought to be the locations of high density, quiescent molecular gas. The CO emission radial velocity increase from 6.5-10.5 km/s 90 arcsec S to 60 arcsec NE of BN-KL, may be reversed near BN-KL, and possible explanations are presented.
