BVRI photometric data was obtained on 12 Abell clusters using the Burrell Schmidt Telescope at KPNO. The results for the first six clusters (Abell 576, Abell 957,Abell 1185,Abell 2063, Abell 2197 and Abell 2657) will be presented. Each cluster represents a different Rood-Sastry(RS) type. The magnitudes, colors, and shape parameters of the indivdual cluster members are examined in an attempt to understand the morphological RS type in terms of measurable quantities.
