We acquired optical imaging observations at the prime focus of the 2.34-m Vainu Bappu Telescope (VBT), at the Vainu Bappu Observatory (VBO), Kavalur, India. The observatory (longitude 78.8°E, latitude 12.5°N, altitude 730m above sea level) is operated by the Indian Institute of Astrophysics, Bangalore. We employed the following filters in our observations: broad-band blue, visual, red and near infra-red (approximating the standard B, V, R and I photometric bands). We chose to transform our instrumental magnitudes to the standard Johnson-Morgan BV and Kron-Cousins RcIc broadband systems using the old Galactic cluster M67 for which many studies are available.
