Observations in B and V bands with the new photometer of the 50 cm
reflector of Merate Observatory led to new ephemeris determinations for
the two W UMa systems V781 Tau and GR Vir and to preliminary orbital
elements for V781 Tau. A decrease in the period after J.D. 2440000 is
suggested for V781 Tau.
