Forty-eight stars with extrasolar planet candidates will be observed to detect additional, wider companions with masses as low as 20 Mjup. The most important question that might be answered by observing these stars with IRAC is: "Are there brown dwarf companions in the systems at larger radii?" There are currently only two main sequence stars --- the Sun and upsilon Andromedae --- known to have more than one companion of planetary mass. If a brown dwarf were discovered in addition to a planetary companion around one of these stars, it would have serious implications for the formation of solar systems. In fact, the nature of brown dwarfs themselves might come into play, e.g. might brown dwarfs sometimes be considered planetary bodies?
