Maps of the regions between (l=0, b=0) and (l=60, b=0) extending to 40 deg on both sides of the galactic plane are produced for the three X-ray bandpasses, 100-180 ev, 100-280 ev, 500-850 ev. The results are discussed in terms of various thermal models for X-ray emission. No single temperature fits are acceptable, but an upper limit of 1,000,000 K is set on the lower temperature component of a multi-temperature model of the interstellar medium. Two-temperature models and power law distributions in temperature are also discussed. The North Polar Spur X-ray emission is examined, and its inconsistency with several of the models is noted.
