Calculations are made of the structure and transition probabilities of highly ionized boronlike ions. The calculations are based on a multi-configuration Hartree-Fock ansatz with Breit-Pauli corrections. The boron-like series up to Fe XXII is considered. Results are presented for fine structure splitting, the 4P terms, level crossing and its effect on spectral lines, comparisons with jj coupling, oscillator strengths, intercombination lines, allowed transitions, and transitions involving higher excitations. It is found that: (1) for intercombination transitions Breit-Pauli effects are more important than higher configuration mixing for all Z(C II to Fe XXII), (2) for allowed transitions the multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock ansatz is more important than Breit-Pauli corrections to Si X, and (3) for higher Z the simple multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock ansatz is sufficient while Breit-Pauli corrections are more important.
