The B-gamma line emission of MWC349 was observed in May 1984 with a velocity resolution of 25 km/s. The spectrum shows two distinct emission components. The main component has a FWHM of 115 km/s at V(LSR) = 5/km/s. The observed line profile is well reproduced with a model in which the B-gamma emission arises from a stellar wind with a constant velocity of 55 km/s. However, the profile shows a slight asymmetry. Comparisons of the observed profile with theoretical ones suggests blue-shifted absorption dip which might be produced in an outer decelerated region or in an expanding disk. The subcomponent was first detected and has a FWZI of 80 km/s at V(LSR) = -260 km/s with a relative intensity of 4 percent compared to the main component. The H-alpha spectrum also obtained in May 1984 shows a weak component at the same velocity. The corresponding feature was not seen in the early H-alpha spectrum observed in June 1979 by Hartmann, Jaffe, and Huchra (1980).
