Starting with a scalar field in a thermal bath using the one loop quantum corrections potential, we rewrite the Klein-Gordon equation in its thermodynamical representation and study the phase transition of this scalar field due to the U(1) symmetry breaking. We find the corresponding thermodynamic and viscosity expressions, and propose that this terms can be measured in the laboratory in order to know if the phase transition of a Bose-Einstein Condensate can be explained in terms of quantum field theory in a simple and elegant way.
