Superconducting YBCO microbridge has been proven with high sensitivity and fast response speed. We have prepared successfully the High Tc superconducting IR detectors of this composition. When the temperature of blackbody is 500K the performance of detector is: D* equals 5.06 X 10(superscript 10) cmHz(superscript 1/z)W(superscript -1); NEP equals 2.8 X 10(superscript -14)WHz(superscript -1/2); R equals 8.87 X 10(superscript 4)VW(superscript -1) and this performance can be held stable in two years. Using the detector we have done experiment at bolometric response from 300K to 600K and spectral response from 1 micrometers to 1224 micrometers . Experiment results show that the detector is nearing practical use and is the best detector for wide band.
