Nineteen Cepheids, known or suspected to have blue companions, have been observed. For 11 of them, blue companions were indeed seen, though many of them were fainter in the UV than suspected. For four Population I Cepheids the suspected companions were not seen. For none of the Population II Cepheids could a companion be detected. For the observed companions the authors have determined Teff, luminosities and masses from their position in the HR diagram.
