The effect of the Galactic magnetic field on the dynamics of superbubbles formed by a series of SN explosions in an OB association is investigated theoretically by means of three-dimensional MHD simulations. A five-component hydrostatic model similar to that of Bloeman (1987) is employed, and the results are presented graphically. It is found that a 5-microG magnetic field globally parallel to the Galactic disk can confine the superbubbles within the disk (at z less than about 200 pc) for SN energy injection of up to about 10 to the 37th erg/sec.
