I will present results from Gemini/AO observations of M87 and M54. The black hole mass in M87 is one of the largest ever measured and provides a strong lever arm for black hole correlations. There is, unfortunately, a degeneracy between the mass of the black hole and amount of dark halo, mediated by the stellar M/L; thus, in order to measure the black hole in the most massive systems, one needs the highest spatial resolution (offered by AO) and large radial information (offered by large format IFUs). The Gemini AO data on M87 provides the best data to date for this important galaxy. At the other extreme, globular clusters provide the additional leverage to study black hole correlations. I will also include analysis of AO data for globular clusters.
