A possible energy source of quasars is presented and discussed. Computer simulations have shown that the dynamic flow of a hot fluid with angular momentum tends naturally to form a toroidal structure around a black hole and that, once the angular momentum has dropped below a limiting value, the final accretion into the hole is probably precipitous rather than depending on the slow effects of viscous drag. Several examples are presented of inviscid fluid flow close to a black hole, and contour maps of constant total potential around a black hole are shown for various values of the infalling material's angular momentum.
